Dan Wardell, guest narrator

Dan Wardell is producer and host of the IPTV KIDS Clubhouse at Iowa Public Television. His adventures take him to schools and libraries across the state, teaching kids to turn off their TVs, to go outside and play, to eat healthy food, to use their imaginations, and most importantly, to read a good book.

Wardell's Reading Road Trip is an exclusive 71-stop library tour each summer that has provided him the opportunity to perform for over 126,000 kids and grownups during the past nine years.

Curry Harter, harmonica

Harter holds a bachelor and master degree and for two years minored in music at Southwestern Adventist University. As a pastor, educator, and music minister he worked in British Columbia for 10 years. For 20 years he was an educator (kindergarten-college) and professional musician. He played the Los Angeles Music Awards, B. B. Kings House of Blues, Green Fest, Orange Fest, Pride Fest, the Mint, and other venues in Southern California.

In Des Moines (since 2007) he created and played the sound track for the documentary film "Ecoheartland." He's played at the Iowa Historical Society, Spring Arts Festival, 20th Annual Bowlful of Blues, Art on the Prairie, and many other events and venues. Curry currently plays acoustic and electric blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass, and Gospel. For 40 years he has been giving private lessons. Currently he's teaching harmonica at Rieman Music.
