Central Iowa Symphony needs musicians

Hi, Central Iowa Symphony is looking for a couple more string players for our May 5th concert. Could you send this to anyone who may be interested? Violin and bass would both be helpful, thanks!

April 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th
May 5th Dress Rehearsal 9-11:30am
Concert at 7:30pm
All rehearsals are from 7:15-9:30pm at the Ames City Auditorium

Violin 1 Violin 2 Viola Cello Bass Trumpet 1 Trumpet 2 French horn 1 French horn 2 Trombone 1 Trombone 2 Percussion (Drum set, I presume, plus whatever extras are needed) Piano/Digital keyboard Reeds as needed (doublings are possible, but it is easier to find players if there are not too many on any one part): Parts for flute/piccolo, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, bari sax, and bassoon can be covered as necessary.

Performances at Valley H.S.: Friday, August 3rd, 7:30pm Saturday, August 4th, 7:30pm Sunday, August 5th, 2:00pm Thursday, August 9th, 7:30pm Friday, August 10th, 7:30pm Saturday, August 11th, 7:30pm Sunday, August 12th, 2:00pm

2 Flutes (doubling picc) 2 Oboe (1 doubling English Horn) 2 Clarinets 2 Bassoons 4 Horn 2 Trumpets 3 Trombones 2-3 Percussionists to cover timpani, snare drum, bass drum, cymbals, tambourine, castanets, and triangle.

My string count would be 5/5/3/3/2. I might be able to use 4 on viola & 4 on cello...we'll have to see.

As for rehearsal dates, I understand that you have a spring concert on May 13. Here is a tentative schedule that begins after your concert: At Grace Church: May 14 6-9 pm (Mon,) May 16 6-9 pm (Wed.) May 18 6-9 pm (Fri.) May 21 6-9 pm (Mon.) May 25 6-9 pm (Fri.)

At Valley: May 28 6-10 pm (Mon.) May 29 6-10 pm (Tues.) May 30 6-10 pm (Wed.)

Performances June 3 2 pm and 7 pm (Sun.) June 4 7 pm (Mon.)
